Sales surge for stacking containers soothes problem of automotive manufacturing over production Released February 2004 |
A popular range of stacking containers has enjoyed a recent increase in sales from the automotive industry, due to overproduction in this sector.
The Polypropylene Stacking Containers, introduced to the market by System Store Solutions, provide ideal storage for unused goods and equipment.
A recent Forrester Report has estimated that in the automotive industry $40bn of capital is tied up in overstocked inventories. "These manufacturers are in a position where they need long lasting, quality storage with maximum capacity and strength to effectively store their goods," explained David Price, director of System Store Solutions. "These stacking containers provide just that, so it is no wonder they are selling so well."
These containers are particularly ideal for the automotive manufacturing environment because they are resistant to oil, grease, solvents and most acids commonly used in this industry. They are also resistant to high and low temperatures. The varying sized containers can support extremely heavy loads of up to 2220 grams and are equipped with lifting holes or bars to offer a safe and easy grip, even when wearing gloves. They can also be moved on trolleys.
"There are many fundamental industrial products that serve as a barometer for the state of manufacturing. Surprisingly storage containers are one of them," commented Price.
